Meet Muslin: The Softest Cotton for Cooler Days

If you've ever wrapped a newborn in a muslin swaddle, you already know the feel: light, breathable, impossibly soft. We brought that same fabric to a dress you'll want to wear all season — the new Lita, made from 100% cotton muslin.
Muslin is a loosely woven cotton, which is exactly what gives it that airy, lived-in drape. It breathes beautifully on a warm afternoon, layers easily when the temperature drops, and — like all good cotton — only grows softer the more you wash and wear it.
The Lita leans into that ease with functional buttons and a slightly loose fit. It's the kind of relaxed silhouette that works over tights and boots now, and on its own come spring. Add a slip for a little warmth and coverage as the mornings turn cool.
Caring for muslin is simple: wash cold, tumble dry low or hang to dry, and skip the fabric softener. As with all natural fibers, it may relax slightly after the first wash — washing cool keeps the fit just right from there.
It's the same reason we make everything from 100% natural fibers, with no synthetic blends: fabric this close to your skin should be something you forget you're wearing, in the best way. Muslin is cotton at its softest — and the Lita is where we put it to work.
